At Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, we believe in providing opportunities that extend beyond the walls of our facilities, opportunities that broaden horizons and ignite aspirations. This past spring break, our Club Teens embarked on an enriching journey to the campuses of UCLA and UCSB as part of our esteemed Leaders in Training program. As they prepare to attend College of the Canyons this May and immerse themselves in the vibrant world of music with the Commercial Music & World Percussion Concert on May 17th, we reflect on the profound impact these experiences have on their personal and academic growth.
Why are these trips so important? The answer lies in the essence of our mission: to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential. By exposing our teens to the atmosphere of higher education, we not only demystify the college experience but also instill in them the belief that post-secondary education is within their reach.
