We are proud to share our Newhall Clubhouse Branch Manager 2022 Employee of the Year, Abigail. Her commitment and passion for the Club families inspires us. We took a moment to ask her a few questions. We hope you enjoy getting to know her.
What’s your role at the Club and how long have you worked here?
I am the Branch Manager at our Newhall location. I have worked at the Club for almost a decade now. Woohoo!
What does your typical day at the Club look like?
If anyone that knows the Club environment it changes day by day. Working at the Club you have to adapt very fast and be flexible with what is coming your way. I love connecting with the parents and seeing the daily growth in our members every time they come to the Club.
What’s the best part of working at the Club?
I find the greatest joy working at the Club is seeing Alumni return and hearing everything that they have accomplished or them wanting to volunteer their time and give back to the community.
Tell us about an early memory you have when you first started.
One day Matt (Branch Manager at the time) had asked if I wanted to take a group of kids to the Justin Bieber acoustic concert. I could not have said yes faster than I did. One of the members that I took is now a Program Director at our Sierra Vista location.
What’s your proudest accomplishment at the Club?
One of the biggest successes is seeing my journey at the Club. From working part-time in the Learning Center, then moving up to Branch Manager, starting up school sites, a summer site and now back to working at the traditional Club has been amazing. It’s great to see the Club expand.
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?
It is amazing to see the programs and activities that the Club runs. These programs and activities impact our children on a daily basis. I also love mentoring our members, they are here because they need us the most.
