We are proud to announce Matt Carpenter as our 2023 SCV Man of the Year Nominee. Matt is the Club’s Board President and a passionate advocate for its cause. His strategic thinking, knowledge of Club programs, and relationship building has spearheaded the Club’s growth in recent years. Outside the board room, Matt has worked tirelessly to provide the Club’s teens with the mentoring they need to thrive and the opportunities they need to become responsible members of society. His dedication to the Club’s mission is unmatched, and he truly embodies what it means to be a leader.

Matt’s leadership is felt throughout the Club. He serves on the annual Youth of the Year panel, working with teens to develop their presentation, resume, and interview skills. He has worked closely to provide environmental stewardship opportunities for the Club’s teens, including participation in the City of Santa Clarita’s River Rally. This event brings together community members to clean up the Santa Clara River, which is a vital part of our ecosystem. Matt has helped to organize this as a Boys & Girls Club annual service project and works alongside the Club’s teens to ensure that they understand the importance of environmental stewardship.
It’s no surprise that Matt has been nominated as the Man of the Year. He is a true inspiration to all of us, and his commitment to making the world a better place is nothing short of remarkable. Through his work with Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, he has made a profound impact on the lives of countless teens, and his dedication to their success is truly admirable.
